Downtown Newnan Market Days
1st Saturday of every month April – December
The Monthly Market Day is hosted by Main Street Newnan around the courthouse square in downtown Newnan, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The market showcases a variety of handmade, homemade, and homegrown products created by local artisans, artists, and farmers. The market will feature 30 unique booths with new vendors and one-of-a-kind items each month. Market favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams and jellies, salsa, pottery, art, children’s clothing, hand-woven baskets, leather products, fresh baked goods, handcrafted furniture, birdhouses, wood-art, fiber-art, wreaths, floral design, and much more! The Market is open to the public, and there is no charge for admission.

October 22nd – Spirits and Spice Festival
It’s time to eat, drink, and get spooky! Event attendees will be able to get their “boos” on by walking the Downtown Spirits Trail and purchasing specialty cocktails at different participating locations, spice things up by tasting numerous types of chilis at the Chili Cook-Off, and have some skele-fun on the Twisted Trolley Tour ride. The event will feature live music, a craft market, and activities for the kids. This event is eerie-sistible for all ages!

October 28th – 2nd Annual Downtown Newnan Bootique Crawl
Grab your friends, put on your witches hat, or go all out and dress in your best Halloween costume!! Come on down from 5-9, boutiques open late. Lots of spooktacular fun! Discounts, prices, sips and treats!

November 18th – Holiday Sip & See
This event is a great opportunity for visitors to get started on their holiday shopping while the holiday inventory is plentiful! There will also be a night market, live music, and food trucks along with hor d’oeuvres and refreshments from the retailers.

November 25th – Plaid Friday
On Plaid Friday shop in Downtown Newnan and simplify your Day-After-Thanksgiving experience! The name “Plaid Friday” celebrates the idea of LOCAL! Plaid Friday is the relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday.”

November 25th – Santa on the Square
Santa on the Square is hosted each year on the day after Thanksgiving. Santa will arrive downtown in a Fire Truck, and will immediately light the Christmas tree located on the Court House Square. After the lighting of the Christmas tree, children are invited to sit on Santa’s lap and read him their Christmas list! This annual tradition in Downtown Newnan reminds us all of the importance of the holiday season: fostering hope, charity, forgiveness and kindness. This Litter-Free, Smoke-Free event is free to the public, and welcomes children of all ages.

November 26th – Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday is an annual shopping tradition dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express in 2010 and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
